Casa Minunata, founded in 1994, made it possible for disabled children to receive an education during a time when disabled children were banished and lived in inhumane circumstances during the communist regime. In 2006, the program opened to include children with normal development, enabling children without disabilities to develop empathy, understanding, knowledge and self-awareness. Children with disabilities continue to develop in an accepting, supportive, loving and creative environment, and the program allows more students to receive a richer educational experience at this outstanding school.
