increasing the capacity of local healthcare providers AND STRENGTHENING HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS WORLDWIDE
We have developed comprehensive training and education series to provide healthcare teams and biomedical professionals with virtual training, a platform for discussion and sharing of best practices in caring for patients in low and under-resourced settings. The sessions take place online using Zoom and the Project ECHO education model and are offered in multiple languages.

While the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve, Assist International and Stanford Anesthesia Division of Global Health Equity are helping healthcare providers in the Global South prepare to provide lifesaving care to patients in need. Over the last several months we have collaborated with academic partners to develop and deploy a comprehensive tele-mentoring series in Critical Care and Oxygen Therapy. So far, we have reached an audience of ~3,000 people across 128 countries worldwide!
We have also recently launched a new series in partnership with six clinical experts to direct and deliver the course to their local contexts in Rwanda, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, and Zambia. We are also working to expand this effort across Sub-Saharan Africa and Mexico!
We are continually seeking in-kind services from doctors, surgeons and biomedical engineering professionals to help us carry out our tele-mentoring sessions.
